Over the past couple of weeks, the students have engaged in some larger projects that I would like to take a moment to brag about because I am very proud! To start students completed a STEM challenge in which they were only given toothpicks and Elmer's glue. They were given parameters for their bridge limiting height, width, and length. I am very impressed this past year's students outperformed students from the previous nine years of teaching experience.

Furthermore, students are now writing stories. But more than just simply writing a short story, the students are required to make a completely new world including new rules it must abide by, then making maps, and character profiles to write a cohesive story.
